Maserati belongs today to one of the largest automobile groups in the world, the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles group. Even before belonging to Fiat, Maserati became the property of Citroën, a French brand of popular passenger cars with which he had such a close relationship that he would eventually provide technology and contribute to the development of a product with the chevrons, the Citroën SM.

Maserati has a close relationship with Fiat since the late eighties and would become the property of the Italian brand in the 1990s.

Maserati was born in Bologna in 1914 and for years was one of the best representatives of Italian sports, on the street and on the tracks, being at the level of brands such as Alfa Romeo or Ferrari.

In line precisely with this focus more focused on luxury and comfort, Maserati not only has sports vehicles, but also with high-end three-body saloons, or even an SUV. The most sporting face of Maserati is found in two products, the Maserati GranTurismo and the Maserati GranCabrio, two fast, powerful and sporty products, which still have the goal more in driving comfort, than in marking fast laps in circuit. Maserati currently offers two saloons with three distinct bodies, a Maserati Ghibli access, which includes engines for all audiences, and a Maserati Quattroporte that stands as the highlight of the Italian sports and luxury sedan.

The most important addition to the Maserati range was in recent years, with the arrival of a luxury SUV that is marketed as Maserati Levante.

In the future it is expected the incorporation of new products, such as a new access sports car that would be based on the Maserati Alfieri prototype presented in 2014.
